On January 23rd to 24th,2024, the 13th Philanthropy Festival and 2023 ESG Summit, successfully held in Beijing. It became a remarkable philanthropic event. During this grand event, ZRP was honored with the ‘2023 ESG Pioneer Company Award’. This award recognizes the past work of ZRP in the field of sustainable development. It also inspires us to continue our passion for ESG work. Mr. Qu Yijian, Group Vice President and General Manager of the Northern Region of ZRP. He was invited to attend the award ceremony and witnessed this glorious moment in person.
The Philanthropy Festival was established in 2011, marking the first domestically initiated festival named ‘Philanthropy’ with the joint efforts of mainstream media. The event aims to promote the spirit of philanthropy, advocate for philanthropic actions, and provide a platform for in-depth dialogue, collaboration, and communication among various parties. After thirteen years of exploration and practice, the Philanthropy Festival has evolved into the most influential annual event in the field of philanthropy and charity in China. The event attracts over 1,000 leaders from the philanthropic and business sectors, experts, scholars, and media representatives, who participate both online and offline. More than 200 notable figures serve as speakers, with the active involvement of over 300 media outlets. The combined online and offline impact and interaction exceed 30 million people times.
ZRP has upheld the dual carbon philosophy for many years, committed to promoting sustainable development.
In the realm of energy conservation and emissions reduction, ZRP has achieved significant accomplishments. Over the past year, various energy-saving initiatives have cumulatively saved 4.16 million KW·H of electricity, resulting in a reduction of 2372.4 tons of CO2 emissions. Simultaneously, various emission reduction projects have led to a decrease of 60 tons of hazardous waste, the recycling of 1000 tons on cardboard, and the reduction of 15 tons of office paper, contributing to a total emission reduction of 202.9 tons of CO2.
ZRP actively adopts green energy and has currently completed the construction of 5 photovoltaic power stations, generating over 7.3 million KW·H of electricity annually and resulting in an annual reduction of 4100 tons on CO2 emissions. As an integrated provider of paper-based printing and packaging solutions, ZRP puts emphasis on the use of environmentally friendly materials, with the usage of eco-friendly inks accounting for over 95%, and water-based environmentally friendly adhesives contributing to a percentage exceeding 98%.
In terms of environmentally friendly design, ZRP is the sole authorized manufacturer of P&G Versafill Memory Honey Filler. It was made from recyclable material, Versafill can save up to 85% space of material transportation with its foldable structure. This series of environmental initiatives fully demonstrates ZRP's commitment and position in sustainable development and environmental protection.
Currently, ZRP has developed a path to achieve carbon neutrality. ZRP has made a solemn commitment to achieve 100% carbon neutrality by 2050, with 2022 as the baseline and projected to be achieved by 2050.
